Our handmade Amitayus statue sits in full lotus pose on a single lotus pedestal, holding the longevity vessel in the Dhyana Mudra — the ambrosia vase filled with amrita, the nectar of longevity, its lid rising into an ornamental sprouting plume. He is adorned with the intricately sculpted crown and jewels of a Bodhisattva: a tall five-pointed crown rising around his dark gathered topknot, layered necklaces at the chest, and — distinctive to this piece — large, elaborately scrolled ear ornaments that flank the face in leafy gold panels rather than simple discs. The crown and jewels can be fitted with turquoise and coral stones upon request, and we are happy to do this free of charge for the new owner.

The robe of the statue is intricately engraved with elegant designs on the front and back, so the royal gold gilding is touched with elegance in every detail, while ribboned scarves loop around both elbows and flare into swirls at either side of his knees. The broad oval pedestal is ringed with large overlapping lotus petals, framed by a beaded band above and a finely engraved band at the foot.
