Craftsmanship of the Gold Gilded Chenrezig Statue

Large ornamental earrings frame his face, while layered necklaces, bracelets and richly decorated arm ornaments continue the jeweled presentation across the body. Long celestial ribbons sweep outward from his arms before descending toward the throne, creating graceful movement around the otherwise symmetrical composition.
Fine engraved patterns decorate the borders and folds of his garments, including the fabric crossing his legs. Chenrezig sits in full lotus posture upon an unusually substantial double lotus pedestal.
