The statue stands within the flames of pristine awareness that consume all neurotic states. Additionally, Mahakala tramples on the Hindu god Ganesha showing he is the true remover of all obstacles. This Mahakala statue wears the crown adorned with five skulls representing the five poisons. The poisons of hatred, greed, ignorance, pride and jealousy have been transmuted into five transcendent wisdoms.
