Our beautiful 14″ oxidized copper White Tara sculpture has all of her classic features – seven eyes, 2 lotus flowers and she displays both the Abhaya and Varada mudras. Additionally, White Tara is rests in the full lotus pose on a double lotus throne. Our Nepali artisan gave the statue an antiquated finish with the use of oxidized copper. Furthermore, White Tara features a hand carved Bodhisattva crown and jewels.

At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the statue crown and jewels with turquoise and red coral stones. At no extra cost, we can embellish the statue before delivery. The statue will wear the semi-precious embedded stones well and inspire all those who lay eyes on it.

Symbolism of the White Tara Sculpture

The Abhaya “protection” mudra is a classic Buddhist mudra that is displayed by many Buddhas and bodhisattvas. The symbol for fearlessness can be depicted with either the right and left hand. It is very important in Buddhist beliefs and it inspires a sense of fortitude and confidence in devotees. Our White Tara sculpture is depicting it with her left hand held chest high and palm facing forward.

This White Tara sculpture is also using the Varada or “gift giving” mudra. Indeed, White Tara is certainly affiliated with generosity. Known as Cintachakra, the “wish-fulfilling wheel,” White Tara is one of the three long life deities in Tibetan Buddhism — read more about White Tara’s meaning and symbolism. She is also imbued with the attributes of healing, compassion and serenity.
