The sculpture was created using the traditional lost wax sculpting method. As a result, there are fine detailed engravings covering the robe and pedestal. Attributes of our Tibetan Manjushri Statue
Manjushri is also known as the “Bodhisattva of Perfected Wisdom”. Inside the lotus blossom growing over his left shoulder rests the Book of “Perfected Wisdom” which is a collection of the Prajnaparamita Sutras. These sutras are where Manjushri originated in the Buddhist texts. Indeed, Manjushri is one of the oldest and most venerable Bodhisattvas in the Buddhist pantheon.
Our Tibetan Manjushri statue features the youthfulness that is commonly associated with him. However, this does not indicate that he is merely a youth.
