This 14″ Jetsun Dolma statue is fully fire gilded in 24K gold with a gold face painting — a combination that gives the figure exceptional presence at this scale. The Bodhisattva crown and jewels are hand-carved with fine precision. At the buyer’s request, the crown and jewels can be additionally embellished with turquoise and red coral stones at no extra charge before shipping. The statue was handcrafted in Patan, Nepal by master Newar artisans using the traditional lost wax sculpting method, refined over many centuries of practice. Read more about the Green Tara mantra and practice in our complete Tara statues guide.
At 14″ this statue is sized for sustained daily practice rather than occasional veneration. Traditional Tibetan Buddhist practitioners establish a specific relationship with a particular statue on the altar — reciting the mantra consistently in the presence of the same figure, day after day, building a quality of connection with the deity’s represented presence through repeated engagement. The statue is not merely a symbolic object but a focal point through which the quality of Tara’s compassion — swift, generous, fearless — becomes gradually more present in the practitioner’s own mind. A 14″ fully gilded Tara is substantial enough to be the central figure of a dedicated practice space, and the quality of the gold face painting means the figure holds its quality under the close attention that daily practice involves.
Jetsun Dolma Statue Features
Jetsun Dolma is depicted in lalitasana — royal ease posture — with her right hand displaying the Varada mudra (gift-giving, palm open) and both hands holding the stems of the utpala lotus flowers between thumb and index finger, the stems rising to bloom over each shoulder. The fully open blossom over her right shoulder represents enlightened awareness fully realized — the lotus risen completely above the surface of samsara, in clean air and open light. The unopened blossom over her left shoulder represents the potential for enlightenment present in all beings — already there, not yet bloomed, requiring only the right conditions and sustained practice to emerge. Together the two flowers hold the full arc of the path in a single image.
Authentic, Handmade in Nepal
