Furthermore, our Dolkar statue is an embodiment of one of Tara’s most popular emanations. Her devotees believe she glows with the radiance of 1000 white moons. Dolkar has 7 eyes – two on the face, one on the forehead center, and one on each of her palms and on the soles of her feet. This classic Dolkar statue sits in full lotus pose on a single lotus pedestal. There are two blossoming lotus flowers, one growing over each shoulder. Her right hand holds the stem of a lotus flower between the thumb and index finger while depicting the Varada “gift giving” mudra. Her left hand is depicting the Abhaya mudra which symbolizes protection and fearlessness.
Dolkar is also known as “Cintachakra” which is a Sanskrit term for “wish fulfilling wheel”. She is strongly affiliated with serenity, healing, compassion and long life.
