This majestic crowned Amida Buddha statue was created using the traditional lost wax method. As a result, it is imbued with fine details and includes the traditional symbols of Amida Buddha. Additionally, the artisan created the Buddha with the jewelry and crown of a bodhisattva. At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the crown and jewels of the statue with turquoise or red stones. At no extra charge, the skilled artisan can embellish the statue with these special decorations before delivery.
Crowned Amida Buddha Statue Features:
Our statue is depicted using the classic Dhyana “meditation” mudra. This mudra is displayed with both hands in the lap with the right hand resting on top of the left. Additionally, both palms are facing upwards. The Dhyana mudra is also known as the meditation mudra because it can enhance concentration during meditation.
Practicing meditation, following the precepts and also the eight fold noble path are integral to the Dharma teachings of the Buddha. As a result of diligent practice one can accumulate the 3 nectars. This crowned Amida Buddha statue is holding the alms bowl in the palm of his right hand. The bowl symbolically holds these 3 nectars that will eliminate the 3 poisons – ignorance, hatred and attachment.
Amida Buddha sits in a full lotus pose on a double lotus pedestal. A lotus flower grows out of the murky pond bottom and blossoms above the dirty water in the clean air.
