Tibetan Buddhists are well known for their optimistic perspective. Therefore, this authentic 9″ Tibetan Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig) statue holds the wish fulfilling jewel pressed between his hands in front of his heart. This cintamani is a special jewel of enlightenment, and Tibetan Buddhists believe it will manifest itself as whatever they are wishing for!

In his upper right hand our beautiful Chenrezig sculpture holds the mala beads, eternally reciting his mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, and in his upper left hand the stem of a lotus flower. The lotus is very significant in Buddhism, representing the ability of the virtuous to rise above the sea of suffering, and it gives Chenrezig his other name: Padmapani, the lotus-bearer.

Chenrezig sits in the full lotus pose on a single lotus pedestal, with carved ribbons rising at either side. The sculpture features a partly 24K gold gilded finish: the face, chest, crown, and arms glow in bright gold, while the robes and pedestal remain in rich oxidized copper, giving the statue its ambient low luster and beautiful two-tone contrast. The face is hand painted, giving it a very engaging expression that will inspire those who see the statue. Beautiful Chenrezig Sculpture Features

Our master artisan created our beautiful Chenrezig sculpture with the jewelry and crown of a bodhisattva, using the traditional lost wax casting method. At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the crown and jewels of the statue with turquoise and coral stones. At no extra charge, the skilled artisan can embellish the statue with these special decorations before delivery. This Chenrezig sculpture will wear the adornments very well, and they will inspire all those who lay their eyes on your new statue.

At 9″ and a shipping weight of approximately 3 kg, this partly gilded Chenrezig is a wonderful entry point to Himalayan Buddhist art — our buyer’s guide for Buddha statues explains how to compare finishes and forms, or you can browse the complete Bodhisattva statues collection.
