Manjushri Statue Meaning

Our Masterpiece Manjushri statue is the embodiment of “panna” the pali word for the highest form of wisdom. Also known as insight knowledge, it permeates the teachings of Gautama Buddha and it is the most important component of enlightenment. The wisdom held by Manjushri is essential to understand the true nature of all phenomenon.

A flaming sword held in Manjushri’s raised right hand is the embodiment of wisdom in action. Although our Manjushri statues are very bold in pose, this is misleading. Therefore, it is important not to confuse the gallant pose of Manjushri with the western concept of chivalry. Indeed, our statue represents the nonviolent annihilation of ignorance using elegance and precision.

Our Manjushri is holding the stem of a blue lotus in the palm of his left hand. In addition, in his left hand he holds the book of transcendent wisdom.
