Our Nepali artisan created this Tibetan Dolma statue with the jewelry and crown of a Bodhisattva. At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the crown and jewels of the statue with turquoise and red stones. At no extra charge, the skilled artisan can embellish the statue with these special decorations before delivery.
The color turquoise is a special combination of blue and green. Indeed, blue signifies the purity of the Buddhas and green symbolizes her readiness to act. Our Tibetan Dolma statue will wear the special stones very well.
Tibetan Dolma Statue Features
Our Tibetan Dolma is highlighted with an oxidized copper finish. Additionally, the statue features a lotus flower growing over each of her shoulders. The lotus flower is very symbolic in Buddhist beliefs. This is because in the natural environment, the lotus flower grows from the muddy pond bottom and rises above the murky water to blossom in the clean air and sunshine. This is a metaphor for devotees rising above the sea of suffering and obtaining the fruits of Nirvana.
Additional attributes of the statue include her partially extended right leg which is the trademark of Jetsun Dolma. She is always alert and ready to come to the aid of sentient life. The statue is also depicting the protection mudra with her raised left hand and the gift giving mudra with her lowered right hand. She always has the well being of her devotees in the forefront of her thoughts. Click here to learn more about Tibetan Dolma’s symbolism and mantra.
