Our Nepali master artisan created our beautiful Chenrezig Bodhisattva statue with the jewelry and crown of a Bodhisattva. The artisan has also embellished the crown and jewels with special stones. The statue detail expresses the finest monastic quality found in Tibetan monasteries. The Nepali artisans have indeed been their preferred source of statues for many centuries.
The cintamani “wish fulfilling” jewel is pressed between the palms of his upper right hands. Devotees of Chenrezig believe this magic gem can grant their every wish. Additionally, in his raised right hand our Chenrezig Bodhisattva statue clutches the 108 mala beads. This is because he is constantly reciting his mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum“. Furthermore, in his raised left hand he holds the lotus blossom. Chenrezig is also known as Padmapani or “lotus-bearer”.
Masterpiece Chenrezig Bodhisattva Statue
The artisan created the statue using the traditional lost wax sculpting method. As a result, the buyer can rest assured that they have purchased a monastic quality statue which will last many lifetimes. A 24K gold finish is the standard using the fire gilding method. Therefore, the statue will remain tarnish free indefinitely.
In addition, the lifelike glow of real gold will inspire all those who lay eyes on it. In further benefit, the finish stands out because of the low luster, rich golden hue. The face is hand painted in real gold. Click here to learn more about the Chenrezig Bodhisattva.
