Indeed, the color of Opame Amitabha is red and meditation on the color red can transmute the poison of attachment into the wisdom of discernment. Additionally, the statue features the ushnisha topknot which is a symbol worn by royalty in ancient India.

The statue portrays the Dhyani “Meditation” Mudra with both hands on the lap, palms facing up with the alms bowl of a Buddhist monk resting in the palm of the right hand.
