Our Nepali master artisan created our beautiful oxidized Aparmita statue with the jewelry and crown of a Bodhisattva. At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the crown and jewels of the statue with turquoise or red stones. At no extra charge, the skilled artisan can embellish the statue with these special decorations before delivery.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Aparmita is renown for his longevity attribute. As a result, Aparmita statues are used to perform longevity rituals in the hopes of prolonging life. As part of the ritual, a replica of Aparmita’s ambrosia vase is filled with wine. The wine is then consecrated and given to devotees who partake of it. Furthermore, special pills are symbolically recreated from buttered dough and consumed with the wine.
Oxidized Aparmita Statue Features:
Our Aparmita statue sits in the full lotus position depicting the Dhyana “meditation” mudra. In the palm of his right hand, the ambrosia vessel is resting on his lap which is filled with the immortality nectar. Additionally, Aparmita is sitting on a single lotus pedestal adorned in the Bodhisattva crown and jewels. Also, this statue features an antiquated finish using an oxidized copper alloy.
