This traditionally handmade Nepali Dorje Shugden statue is difficult to find in Nepal. Dorje Shugden is a wrathful emanation of the wisdom deity – Manjushri. In this sculpture, Dorje Shugden rides a mythical Tibetan snow lion while surrounded by a ring of flames representing pristine awareness. The flames consume all neurotic states that can delay spiritual realization.
Furthermore, Dorje Shugden has the expression of a fierce deity with gaping mouth and canine teeth with three glaring eyes. The three eyes symbolize his knowledge of the past, present and future. He wields the curved sword in his right hand which symbolizes the power of the ultimate wisdom. In his left hand he holds a human heart near his mouth. Additionally, he wears the golden yellow riding hat of Chinese origin.
