Our 2.75 inch Vajra was handcrafted in Patan, Nepal using traditional methods. In addition, the item is gold plated in 18K gold. It is handmade using the lost wax sculpting method which brings out fine detail. The vajra is the Buddhist symbol for the male attribute of compassion which is an essential component of enlightenment. In conjunction with the Ghanti (Bell), the female attribute of wisdom, the vajra is used for special Buddhist ceremonies such as consecration.
