This Nepali Chenrezig statue was created by our master craftsman using the traditional methods. For nearly 1000 years, the artisans of Nepal have protected their caste secrets and passed them down. As a result, Nepal has long been the preferred source of the Tibetan monasteries for statues and ritual items. Therefore, rest assured that your new statue is of monastic quality and will last for many lifetimes.

Furthermore, the artisan created our beautiful Chenrezig statue with the jewelry and crown of a bodhisattva. At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the crown and jewels of the statue with turquoise or red stones. At no extra charge, the skilled artisan can embellish the statue with these special decorations before delivery.

Nepali Chenrezig Statue Features:

Our Nepali Chenrezig statue is depicted with two of his hands pressed together in front of his chest. In between his hands he is holding the wish fulfilling jewel of enlightenment called the “cintamani”. The cintamani is perceived by devotees to manifest itself as whatever the devotee is praying for. Furthermore, the clasped hands show his deep respect for Amitabha Buddha.

In his upper left hand he holds a symbolic lotus flower in full bloom. Additionally, in his upper right hand he is holding the “108 mala beads” or Buddhist rosary beads. Chenrezig continuously counts the beads as he recites mantra to show his constant state of compassion for the world. Click here to learn more about the important symbols of Avalokiteshvara.
