Yellow Dzambhala is the most popular of the 5 Jambhalas. Our Yellow Dzambhala statue is the worldly embodiment of the venerable Dhyani Buddha, Ratnasambhava. Dzambhala is also known as the Hindu deity Kubera who seeks the eradication of poverty through equitable distribution of wealth.

Additionally, Dzambhala will prolong life, enhance wisdom and spread virtue throughout the 6 realms of samsara. However, the main objective of Dzambhala is to reduce poverty to a manageable level. As a result, devotees can better receive Buddhist teachings.

A Dzambhala statue is also considered the emanation of a Dharmapala. This is because he once offered protection to Shakyamuni Buddha as he was under the temptation of Mara. Therefore, the Buddha encouraged him to become a Dharma protector and serve sentient beings. Devotees are encouraged to recite his mantra to summon his assistance. The Yellow Jambhala mantra is:

“Om Jambhala Jalendhraye Svaha”

Yellow Dzambhala Statue Features

This Dzambhala statue is fully gilded in 24 karat gold and it is hand crafted using the lost wax method. Dzambhala is appropriately adorned with the crown and jewels of a Bodhisattva and he is a member of the “jewel family”. He is also known as “god of wealth” who seeks to provide opportunity to the impoverished and relieve their suffering.

Yellow Dzambhala is depicted with a mongoose perched on his left hand which symbolizes his domination over the nagas. His mongoose is named Nehulay and he is constantly spewing forth precious jewels from his mouth. In his right hand and at the base of his right foot are found the ancient medicinal bijapuraka fruits which are used for the treatment of fever. They are also known as citron fruit. Dzambhala is depicted seated with his right leg partially extended resting on a lotus flower and his left leg pulled in to symbolize meditative contemplation.

I usually would consider an eCommerce retailer with 5 key areas : 1) Price (we all know) ; 2) Response ; 3) Quality of Product ; 4) Ease of doing business ; 5) Trust Worthiness ; 6) Delivery Speed & Visibility ; 7) Accuracy of Order. I recently invited this Yellow Dzambhala into my home after searching for it for a long while. Together with it, I also a set of 7 offering bowls. Here’s how I would rate Buddha Statues’ services according to my recent purchase.

    PRICE : 4.5 / 5 stars
Having sourcing for the Dzambhala for a while, I have gone through quite a few online and physical stores, even going to the retail shops owned by Dalai Lama himself. I must say if you were to compare the quality of the product with the price, it is definitely worth every single penny, even with consecration and delivery costs added in. I should say the sayings is around 30% or more.

    REPONSE : 5 / 5 stars
Edwin’s response is super fast, even on holidays and weekends. 2 thumbs up (if I have 3 thumbs, I would give it s 3 too!).

    QUALITY OF PRODUCT : 4.8 / 5 stars
If you think looking at the pictures nice, wait till you see the real thing. I was at first skeptical. After all, in terms of branding, who would put up a bad photo of a product they are selling, right? But having seen the real thing is the best proof. I was in awe by the clarity of the feature of the Dzambhala. I usually have high standards and a rating of 4.8 is probably out of this world in my context.

    EASE OF DOING BUSINESS : 4.8 / 5 stars
I had purchased many things online. Most e-tailors usually would not bend when it comes to special requests. For Edwin, he does his best to accommodate. In this case, I was requesting for a video to be taken when the consecration service is in progress for my Dzambhala. Not only did he do just that, the video was a good 10mins ( I was expecting only a few seconds). On top of the quick response, things are made so much simpler.

    TRUTHWORTHINESS : 4.8 / 5 stars
When you have to part with more than a thousand dollars from your pocket, your instinct about whether to trust an e-tailor whom you never purchased anything from kicks in! I took the risk, against the advice of my wife (she is the extremely cautious type). And with the quality of the product that I ended up receiving, I am happy to say I can trust Edwin.

    DELIVERY SPEED & VISIBILITY : 5 / 5
I must say, the turnaround was very quick. Coming from Nepal and with additional service requests at a busy period for most gurus, a turnaround of less than 3 weeks is very fast. And oh, you get to have order tracking from DHL which gives you the visibility of the parcel and its whereabouts.

    ACCURACY OF ORDER : 3.5 / 5 stars
The accuracy of the items I invited home, in terms of Dzambhala, it is uncanny and I would give it a 5. But, the offering bowls did not turn up. Edwin quickly checked and the item reached me pretty fast (within a week). However, the item was still wrong (color was incorrect). Because of this, I would give it a 3.5. But the brilliance of the Dzambhala more than made up for it.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. The issue with the offering bowls is frustrating. I have spoken with the artisan and he deeply regrets the mix up. It seems that the order got segmented during the consecration which is why the bowls did not arrive with the statue. Additionally, the Naga festival was ongoing at the time and festivals can sometimes be distracting.

Nonetheless, this has never happened before and we want to rectify the situation as soon as possible. I have confirmed this with my associate in Nepal and we are happy to immediately send you the original bowls that you ordered. Our only request is that you send back the other bowls (at our expense). Thank you for your patient understanding and I will await your reply via email.
